HOW TO ENROLL
- Enroll Online: All major credit cards are accepted
- Enroll by Phone: please call 310-392-0909. All major credit cards are accepted.
- Enroll by Fax: download and complete a registration form and by faxing that completed form to 310-664-0809.
- Enroll by Mail: Download and complete a registration form and by mailing that completed form along with a check payable to: The Julia Dean Photo Workshops.
- Enroll In-Person: The Julia Dean Photo Workshops, 801 Ocean Front Walk, Studio #8, Venice, California, 90291. Administrative hours are M-Fri, 10am – 6pm. Office is closed on all major holidays.

PROCESSING FEE FOR ALL PHONE, FAX, MAIL OR IN-PERSON ENROLLMENTS
A $15 fee will be charged per class for students electing to enroll by phone, fax, mail or in-person. No fees will be charged for students enrolling online.
PAYMENT
Payment is due in full at the time of enrollment.
Note: Travel Workshops carry a different payment policy. Please refer to “Travel Workshop Deposit, Payment and Refund Policy.”
RECEIPT OF PAYMENT
For all online enrollments, a receipt of payment will be generated and sent automatically to the student’s email account. For all phone, fax, mail or in-person enrollments, a receipt of payment will be generated and sent to the student’s email account within one week of receiving payment. About one week prior to the workshop start date, each student will receive a separate email providing information concerning parking, directions and what to bring.
REFUND POLICY
A $25 administrative fee will be charged on all refund requests*. The request must arrive greater than one week prior to the workshop start date. No refunds will be provided for requests arriving one week or less prior to the workshop start date. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to mailto:workshops@juliadean.com.
*Note: Special Guests, Photo Safaris and Travel Workshops carry different refund policies. Please refer to “Special Guest and Photo Safari Refund Policy” and “Travel Workshop Deposit, Payment and Refund Policy” sections.
Upon receipt of a refund request, students will be provided the option of receiving course credit towards the purchase of another workshop. If a student elects to receive credit, a voucher will be sent to the student’s email address. To redeem course credit, please email or mail the original voucher to The Julia Dean Photo Workshops. All credits must be used within one year from the date of issue. Credits will not be honored unless the original voucher is sent and received. No administrative fee will be charged for students electing to receive credit.
TRANSFERS
Students may elect to transfer applicable course fees towards the purchase of another workshop, limit of one transfer per class. All transfer requests must adhere to the refund policy noted above and/or in conjunction with Special Guest and Travel Workshop refund policies.
CANCELLATIONS
On occasion a workshop may cancel due to low enrollment or unforeseen instructor conflicts. If such a case occurs, all students will be refunded in full. The Julia Dean Photo Workshops does not take responsibility for non-refundable airline tickets, hotel expenses, or any other costs that may be attributable towards enrolling in a workshop.
SPECIAL GUEST AND PHOTO SAFARI REFUND POLICY
A $50 administrative fee will be charged on all refund requests arriving 31 days or greater before the workshop start date. If the request arrives 15 - 30 days prior to the workshop start date, 75 percent of the applicable workshop fee will be retained. No refunds are provided for requests arriving 0 - 14 days prior to the workshop start date. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to mailto:workshops@juliadean.com.
TRAVEL WORKSHOP DEPOSIT, PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY
A $600 deposit is required to reserve space in a Travel Workshop. The balance is due 60 days prior to the start date. Refund requests arriving 61 days or greater before the start date will result in a $50 administrative fee. If the request arrives 45-60 days prior to the start date, the $600 deposit will be retained. If the request arrives 31-44 days prior to the start date, 75 percent of the applicable travel workshop fee will be retained. No refunds will be provided for requests arriving 0-30 days prior to the start date. All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to workshops@julidean.com.
If a student wishes to receive credit for a Travel workshop, he or she must do so at least two months prior to the workshop start date. Within two months of the workshop start date, the option of receiving credit does not apply and students must adhere to the Travel Workshop Refund Policy.

Venice Beach Location Directions, Parking, and Hotel Information
We are located at 801 Ocean Front Walk, Studio 8, Venice, CA 90291, between Rose Ave. and Brooks Ave. Our studio is located in the 801 Building on the Venice Boardwalk. The cross-streets are Park Ave. and Speedway.
Directions From the 405 North or South Freeway
- Take the 405 FREEWAY towards the 10 FREEWAY WEST.
- Exit onto the 10 FREEWAY WEST towards Santa Monica.
- Follow the directions from the 10 West (below).
Directions From the 10 West Freeway
- Take the 10 Freeway westbound towards Santa Monica.
- Take the 4th / 5th ST Exit – Exit 1A.
- Turn LEFT onto 4th ST.
- Turn RIGHT on PICO BLVD.
- Turn LEFT onto MAIN ST. Continue on MAIN ST. for one mile.
- Turn RIGHT onto ROSE AVE. Continue on ROSE until you get to a stop sign.
- Turn LEFT onto SPEEDWAY. Continue to our studio at 801 Ocean Front Walk. We are located on the west side of Speedway - the beach side - and if you make it to BROOKS, you've just passed us by about 100 feet.
Parking for Workshops at our Venice Beach Location
Plenty of parking is available. Two parking lots are recommended. The closest and most secure parking lot is SUBTERRANEAN, located directly under our complex at 801 Ocean Front Walk. Entrance to this lot is off SPEEDWAY. The other, larger parking lot is a SURFACE lot located at the end of ROSE AVE. This lot is located 4 blocks north of our studio. Both of these lots are paid parking. There is free parking available on the side streets, but please allow extra commute time as these spots may be several blocks away. Students commuting by bike may park their bike at the studio.
