Membership Plans

For students looking to save on the purchase of multiple workshops and become more involved in the photographic community, the Julia Dean Photo Workshops offer yearly membership plans which provide numerous perks and benefits. In addition to receiving discounts on class tuition*, each member is automatically placed on the Dean's List, which includes: free passes to all “Special Guest” lecture series events, special discounts from local photography retailers, labs, repair centers, and bookstores (please see our participating sponsors list), wait-list priority for any closed class or classes, two "sneak-preview" emails per year offering early-bird registration ahead of the general public for the Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall workshop schedule, and invitation to all Julia Dean exhibits and special events. Furthermore, Julia Dean members will receive credit towards the purchase of one travel workshop of his or her choosing.

In addition to these benefits, members may also receive (commensurate with membership plan) greater discounts on class tuition, one portfolio review with a JDPW instructor, an online portfolio exhibit on the Julia Dean website, a private tutorial with Julia Dean, and access to gallery space for a one-person show at JDPW.

To become a member, students may select any one of three plans: Bronze, Silver, or Gold. All membership plans are good for one year and must be paid in full upon the date of enrollment. Please note membership fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.


Bronze Membership $125 per year

* Discount applies to tuition only and does not apply to added course fees such as model fees, equipment fees, transportation fees, or any other associated fee listed along with the applicable workshop fee.

** Core classes are defined as any class that is not a special guest or travel workshop.

*** Members will be required to pay for any costs associated with uploading his or her portfolio to the Julia Dean website such as image scanning fees or web designer fees.

**** All one-person shows will be held at the Julia Dean Gallery in either studio 4 or studio 8. Shows will run for two weeks. With the exception of room fees (paid by JDPW), students are required to pay for all expenses associated with running the show and/or exhibit opening including framing and hanging expenses, food and beverage purchases, photocopying and invitation expenses, curator expenses, security, and any other additional exhibit related expenses.
