Preparing a photographic portfolio takes time, dedication and plenty of thought.
Designed specifically for high school students, this course will offer guidance in preparing photographic portfolios for acceptance into art photography programs, as well as providing insight for those simply looking to build and expand their current portfolios.
By editing existing work, creating new work, and being inspired by contemporary and traditional photography, students will have the opportunity to produce a strong, cohesive body of work. Over the course of four weeks, we’ll create a constructive, nurturing atmosphere where students will be able to offer feedback on each other’s work and have fun in the process. Perfect for students considering applying to a college / university photography program or are a general enthusiast, this class will help focus their vision and photographic journey.
After a career as a New York City Fashion Editor and working along side the greats of fashion photography, Aline Smithson (www.alinesmithson.com) discovered the family Rolleiflex and never looked back.
